I was almost the whole summer master of my time 12 years ago. I probably had a weak moment I agreed to get a puppy. My family was immediately caught in word and action could be launched. The libraries have brought many canine material.

We discussed whether we want a dog or bitch, large or small, long hair, or not… We finally held a family competition - each member has said his idea and published a breed that most closely approached.

It was interesting that we all tended to more sporty breeds (Hungarian viszla, Pointers, Rhodesian Ridgeback etc.). Hunting breeds are excluded from the selection - as amateurs, we probably could not give them enough to improve their hunting abilities. We found a Ridgeback breeder with disengaged puppies and we visited him.

When we first saw them with their mother Afandhali SIMANGA, we suspected that this breed is right for us. We have already begun to be a little bit lazy, family trips were less and less and go out when it rains - who would have so silly thought? Week from our first breeder's visit passed quickly and we went for our „little girl”. During our trip to the breeder we tried to agree on her nickname, finally won Aida. Return to home with a little Aida was not entirely easy, but we all managed after all. After coming back to home we guided Aida to a new place and let her to have a rest.

And so has began our cohabitation with Rhodesian Ridgebacks…

Our situation today is completely different in our kennel - we have an another puppy. We kept a „little RR boy” from our B-litter, we call him Bardy. This RR handsome is trying regularly to flip completely upside down our previous knowledge about the Ridgebacks. For example, he successfully passed „hunting test”, he is champion of 3 countries (SK, CZ, H) and two RR clubs. We are waiting for the championships in Austria and France. Bardy is father is of more than 50 healthy puppies.

We lost our Aida on Easter Monday in 2005 suddenly - „a little RR girl” called Girka helped us in our sadness when Aida has left us. We got her from our friends Janka and Peter Guga, Arca owners. Although Janka called her „little princess”, for us she was the devilkin in rr skin. Otherwise she is very cute and also because of his „phizog” she is really very successful at dog exhibitions.

And that was not enough yet - we were asked by an applicant for a Bardy puppy, but our „final agreement” with Alenka was following. We have helped her to find a puppy Crystal and we have became „tutors” of her. His name is Sarka and we have a lot of plans with her. You can see us together on exhibitions, for sure :-))

Alenka has an idea that Bardy shall be the first boyfriend of her, a puppies will born under her new kennel Glaze Rose and we would like to keep „a little RR girl” from this litter…
